I'm not a bit surprised to see Lohan join the list. That girl is hot right now!

I've dubbed this month's Icon list the "Battle of the Bottle Blondes" because all three, #1 Jessica Simpson, #2 Jessica Alba, and #3 Lindsay Lohan hit the bottle regularly (the bleach bottle, that is).

Interesting: Simpson's new shoulder-length cut continued to be THE most popular style with BeautyRiot's visitors, but Alba's and Lohan's new looks are not what got attention. Photos featuring those beauties' darker tresses were more popular than images of their newer, lighter locks.

I've seen other polls in celebrity print magazines that show people like Lohan and Alba better with darker hair. I certainly agree. Obviously they're both stunning as blondes, but they are both much more unique and intriguing with darker hair.

What's your opinion? I'd love to hear it.

Didn't both Jessica Simpson and Jessica Alba each recently cut her hair? How amazing! They were able to grow inches and inches of hair in time for the MTV Movie Awards! Not really, of course.

I'm not a big fan of extensions. I think they look like what they are: wigs. But I do kinda like Simpson's outrageous, over-the-top hair extenders that she wore at the MTV Movie Awards. I mean, if you're gonna wear 'em, WEAR 'EM. Very Cher, mon cherie. Alba's and Duff's, on the other hand, are the typical fair. Artificial-looking horsetails that have to be arranged very carefully in order to look reasonable.

I heard Nicole Richie say that she wears extensions because her hair gets so abused by all the blow-drying, curling, straightening and so on. That may be why Hilary Duff wears them, since she doesn't seem to use them to drastically change her look the way Jessica Alba did. Maybe Jessica Alba just couldn't adjust to her new short hairstyle, after years of having long hair. But I think her shorter style is adorable, fresh and refreshing.

The use of darker extensions in combination with lighter ones is a fun twist. It just seems that if you're going to wear fake hair, it makes sense to, I guess, wear it with aplomb and do something dramatic.
